THE ETH MULTIMEDIA PORTAL SYSTEM

With REPLAY the Multimedia Services of ETH Zurich in cooperation with the Chair for Information Architecture developed a system for the holistic processing of multimedia content. From the recording of lectures and events, indexing, archiving and searching, to the distribution of content in different formats, REPLAY covers the complete life cycle of a multimedia production. REPLAY is much more than a digital repository. The integration of trailblazing technologies and standards, as well as the careful and future-oriented choice of archive and distribution formats, result in an overall system which revolutionizes the production, processing and development of multimedia content at ETH Zurich.
