This research aims to translate the regional features of traditional urban open space into vertical dimension, exploring how can we obtain a pleasant open space as traditional “flat” towns with regional characteristics and historical memory in high density areas. Both environmental and social factors will be considered as design parameters that help to create high quality vertical open spaces.
