The research work concentrates on the development of the inverse method for urban form parameter detection. Inverse urban design is based on the analysis of the information available for a target context in order to discover a set of parameters that is most relevant to urban form design within the same context. The subsequent implementation of these parameters using the Grasshopper parametric environment provides improved flexibility and variation to the entire urban form design process.
The main goal of the research is to facilitate the work of architects/urban designers by providing them with parametric methods for urban design.
