RESEARCH ASSISTANT, PhD STUDENT

Dongyoun Shin is a research assistant and Ph.D. candidate at ETH Zurich. He studied architecture with a focus on Computer Aided Architectural Design at the Design Media and Technology Lab (DMTL) of SungKyunKwan University and ETH Zurich, where he took his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree. He also has a background working at the Architectural Design office JungLim Architecture. He is currently focusing on the Crowdsourcing Urban Simulation, which is simulating the complex world by adopting “social sensing and crowdsourcing concepts”. He presents a human-agent based urban simulation, which directly feeds citizen’s intentions and activities into the simulation in real-time.
